Waste Not, Want Not

Last Saturday I was just about to head to the store for paint for the new bathroom, when I thought, "I have a lot of unused paint around here..." I went through our cans and found not one, but three, cans that, if mixed together, may be enough to paint the bathroom. Well I figured I wasn't out anything if it didn't work and went for it. And just our luck it turned out to be a nice creamy color that is bright enough to lighten that small dark space. I was very proud of myself for thinking to use what we had already.
Yesterday Adam and I started installing the shower and tiled the two walls. I was a little nervous to start it, but once I got going it was very exciting. We are very happy with the results. I can't believe we are finally almost done with this whole mess. We still keep hitting speed bumps left and right but I think we have managed to take care of them alright. Couple more weeks.... Here's some of the new progress.

We love our new textured ceilings, especially because we weren't sure how our little trowel way of doing it would work.

While I was taking the shop vac hose out to Adam to be cleaned, Kaleb grabbed a pencil and decided to do a little art himself. Luckily it sanded right off.
Hooray we have tile. Next we will grout it and finish puting the shower together. Bathroom is almost done!!
