Is It Spring Yet?

While we await the beautiful, warmer days of Spring, our family has taken on the task of finishing our basement. So far it has proven to be more a hassel than it should be...The plumbing for the bathroom and the space that we have to work with has been a huge challenge. This week Adam dug up a good size trench with a sledge hammer and then, with the help of my Grandpa Carlson, re-routed the pipes for our shower and toilet. Hopefully everything else will go smoothly. It should, we don't have a large basement to work with.

So that is our big thing right now, it's pretty exciting really. It will be nice to finally have a second bathroom. I don't know how my mom-in-law did it all those years without one.

Kaleb is trying a little more to talk, he more mimics the syllablos of the words we say, but he is getting there. He suprised me the other day though, I taught him "wa wa" on Monday and on Tuesday he used it! In the right content. It doesn't sound huge, but it is. Some times it's frustrating that he doesn't talk because Grace started so early, but she never stops now... so it's kind of nice! :)

Well here are some of our recent family shots...

Adam got a new fancy helmet for his birthday and the kids had a great time with it. This is their imitation of Darth Vadar!

Our little man really loves taking his shirts half off...
Awww, how cute! Kismet has been a great puppy. We are so glad we found her. The kids just love playing with her and dragging her around. She is our little buddy.

Elmo is pretty fond of her too, most the time.

I'm saving this photo for when they are older to remind them what good little helpers they are.

Grace got a new big bed this week and some accessories. We rearranged her room and got it all set up Tuesday and she loves it!! So do we. The best part is we got it all for a great deal... KSL and other discount services, I'm a believer.
Well tata for now. Hope you are all doing well! See you in the spring! (kidding)

Angelique,

SO glad I stopped by your site. Your little one's are so cute. Hopefully your basement project goes well! I don't think we'll attempt ours for quite some time!
